I have made many friends here, most of them readers who have asked me about the books in my hands. They have been supportive and lovely. Being kind has gotten me far. Interestingly, it has been excited fans and millennials who have been the most friendly, and the typical networking types, the business people, who have been the most standoffish. This didn’t take me by surprise, but I know many who think that young people, young fans, don’t engage with the outside world. But they are the ones who have been most welcoming, encouraging, in this space, most willing to chat and to save your spot in line.

When I attended the Good Omens party, bookshop and photos and all, and Neil Gaiman shared my posts and I saw Douglas Mackinnan, I thought, this is magnificent.

When I saw Neil Gaiman speak, I was the luckiest person in the world: to see my literary hero for the second time! And then to see him and the incredible David Tennant, Michael Sheen, Jon Hamm, and Mackinnan discussing the show? How lucky could I get?

So when, at the VIP Good Omens event, Doug Mackinnon called me over, and Neil Gaiman signed my books as Doug complimented my copy of Good Omens…I mean, I no longer have words. The hospitality and kindness of both the publicists and the cast and crew of Good Omens has been incredible these past few days. I cannot thank them all enough. And I got two more books signed in person from my hero.

What a weekend.

Reading in A.Z. Fell and Co—Aziraphale’s bookshop in GOOD OMENS by Neil Gaiman and Terry Pratchett. Do you know they have multiple copies of Good Omens in here? Seems mysterious.

Loved celebrating GOOD OMENS today. At the #GoodOmens party at #SXSW: I visited Aziraphale’s bookshop, listened to dueling pianos, saw a sword swallower performer, had many people ask me where I got my Neverwear Good Omens pin, and stood next to the DIRECTOR for 10 min or so. Oh, and Neil Gaiman shared my posts. This party was the bomb. So excited for the show later this spring!
